Ready For Steel

Thursday, September 15, 2011 4:00 PM

We are very excited about working with Bolliger & Mabillard once again to bring another world class coaster to our park.

Construction of the footings is well underway; to date we have installed 40% of the footings. The footings in area from the start of the brake run through the station and to the first drop are finished and ready for steel to go up. We will start putting up track sections in the station area this week.

So far we have poured 1,100 cubic meters of concrete with 177,400 kg of reinforcing steel.
We have received 775,000 kg of columns and track; we will be climbing towards 306 feet in the next few weeks.

The retaining walls at the low point of the first drop are installed and several of the concrete piers after the first drop are in place.

We have enjoyed the good weather so far and are working hard to get a lot done before winter sets in.

Check out the new photos of our progress in the Construction Gallery.
